Outstanding Diversity Program Award Application

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008.

Outstanding Diversity Program Award Criteria:

·          Awarded to the student organization for conceiving, planning, and implementing a program during the 2007-2008 school year which fosters civility, understanding, and friendship.  This can be achieved through programming that promotes and supports healthy intellectual dialogue and/or treats our campus as one of beauty and pride.

·      The student organization must be recognized for the 2007-2008 school year by the Dean of Students Office and in good standing at the time of application, selection, and recognition (including fiscally).

·       Is a student-lead, student-run organization that actively involves students in its programs and activities.

·       Program benefits the membership, the University, and/or the community in a creative and original way.

·       Shows organizational participation/group effort and that it was a student-lead, student-run effort.

·       Embraces the University initiatives to enhance civility and respect on campus.  (See the Respect Campaign FAQ http://www.doso.wayne.edu/respect/faqs.htm or the Civility Statement http://www.doso.wayne.edu/respect/WSU_Civility_Statement.pdf for guidance and clarification.)

·       One recipient will be chosen for this award.

·         Award recipient will also receive $100 in their student organization agency account.
