Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award Application

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008.

Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award Criteria:

  • This award is presented to a student organization advisor who has a strong belief in the organization, serves as a role model, willingness to commit sufficient time to the organization, willingness to involve students making decisions for the organization, encourages the development of responsibility and leadership in students, helps students set up meaningful programs, meetings, and events that are consistent with the organizational purpose, possesses a familiarity with the University policies that impact the organization, displays an interest in students’ personal growth and development.
  • A student enrolled at Wayne State University during the period of application must complete the application.
  • Award recipients must be an advisor to a recognized student organization by the Dean of Students Office at Wayne State University that is in good standing at the time of application, selection, and recognition.  The period of eligibility includes advising a student group during Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2007, and Winter of 2008.  The recipient must be a WSU faculty or staff member.
  • One recipient will be chosen for this award.
  • Award recipient will also receive a $25 gift certificate to the WSU Barnes and Noble bookstore.
