Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award Application

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008.
Nominees for the Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award must complete the Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award Student Leadership Activity Form in order to be considered.  It is the responsibility of the nominator to notify the student and have him/her fill out the Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award Student Leadership Activity Form.  The form must be turned in with the application by the deadline date in order for the nomination to be considered by the selection committee.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award Criteria:

  • This award recognizes those graduate/professional students who have made outstanding contributions to Wayne State University in leadership and service within and outside of their academic program.
  • Students must demonstrate an ability to balance academics with their leadership and involvement.
  • The period of eligibility includes involvement during the Fall of 2007 and Winter of 2008.
  • Applicants must be in good academic standing (as determined by their academic program) and not on disciplinary probation at the time of application, selection, and presentation of the award.
  • Up to 5 students will be recognized for this award.
  • No self-nominations accepted.
  • Award recipients will also receive a $25 gift certificate to the WSU Barnes and Noble Bookstore.
